Tyler went to the pediatrician today for his 15 month check up. He did pretty well...until he received two shots (HIB and Prevnar). I didn't know he was going to be getting two shots today so it was a shock to me as well as to him. He recovered pretty quickly with some love from mommy and daddy (and a little help from puppy and paci).
Here are his stats:
Weight: 23 pounds, 9 1/2 ounces (60%)
Length: 31 inches (50%)
Head Circumference: 48 centimeters (75%)
We did talk to Dr. Greene (our favorite pediatrician) about Tyler's development. Tyler is not yet walking, however is crusing around the couch and pulling up on everything. He will also walk a few steps with us holding one of his hands. We also talked about his "words." Tyler doesn't have very many words. He can make the sounds for "mama" and "dada," however rarely applies the words. There are times we can get him to say "Hi," however it doesn't happen often. We came up with a plan to work with Tyler over the next few weeks and we'll see how things go.
Tired little boy after his appointment:
He'll get there! He's probably just a quiet kind of guy who doesn't need to walk because he knows he will be carried! ;) Don't fret. Sav was about 15 months when she started walking and it seemed like forever until she was really talking. Now she doesn't walk because she runs everywhere and never shuts up!
ReplyDeleteTyler is just so darn cute (and looks so tall too)! As I always said he will walk and talk when he is ready! :)
