April Fun...

I want to get back into a pattern of blogging regularly. I am not there yet. I really want to have a way to document all of these pictures and memories. In order to do that and get caught up on months worth of pictures, I'm going to have to do some of these group posts!

This is a teething necklace. I resisted it at first and did not envision myself ever wearing it. I never wore one with Tyler and had doubts about whether or not it would work. Let me tell you though, Jake loves it!

Aunt Jaime bought one of these for Tyler when he was little. She gave Jake this monkey one. This also has been helping him with teething!

Sleepy guy...these moments never get old!

Jake had his 6 month follow-up appointment and got shots. As soon as we got home, he was tired and wanted to go to sleep. Check out his sleeping position! He slept like this alot when he was still in my belly. It was not uncommon for me to have a lump on one side of the stomach and my guess is he spent alot of time like this :)

It is so much fun to see Jake and Tyler interact together. Tyler loves to give Jake hugs.

Jake is a stomach sleeper. I always start him off on his back, but it literally takes seconds before he is rolled back over on his stomach.

This is what happens when your 3 year old decides to get adventurous. While I was taking a quick shower, Tyler was playing in his bedroom. He decided to climb on top of his Fisher Price Barn to be able to reach the top drawer of his dresser. Well, the barn won. Tyler fell and cut his foot.

Doesn't Jake's hair look blonde in this picture?!

Tyler has been a big fan lately of playing ball with daddy. Unfortunately, he continues to call this a "baseball." We keep trying to explain to him that it is a football. One of these days, it might stick!

Jake is not yet sitting up on his own yet. We are still working on it!

One weekend in April, Matt worked at a gun competition all weekend. He was gone all day and did not get home most nights until the kids were already in bed. We survived!

This blanket was made for Jake by our good friend, Wanda. He loves it. He is also a big fan of these blocks!

Tyler had a good time filling up easter eggs to take to school with him for his school easter egg hunt!

This is what Jake does at night when he is drinking his night time bottle. He usually puts his left hand over his face. It is like he is showing his level of exhaustion at the end of the night!

Tyler was invited to Colin's birthday party. Colin is in the same class as Tyler. For Colin's birthday party, they had a fire truck show up. Tyler was excited and enjoyed getting in the fire truck and looking around!

I'm not sure if I have posted about honey bear before, but here he is. "Honey Bear" is named after a former neighbors cat. When Jake was a newborn, Grammy took Tyler to the mall to build a bear. Tyler is still very attached to Honey Bear. On this morning, Tyler insisted that I help him get "Honey Bear" dressed by putting on Honey Bear's pants and shoes! Then, Tyler took Honey Bear with him to school for show and tell.

If we have enough time in between bath time and bed time, Jake and Tyler like to play on the floor together.

Jake is always such a smiley guy!

Sometimes, during play time, Jake gets to tired that he rolls over and takes a little nap all by himself!

I love this kid!

We like selfies in our house :)

Seriously, how cute is this little guy?!

Pictures like this make me so happy. I hope they will be the best of friends, always!

If it seems like we have alot of pictures of Jake sleeping, that is because we do!

This picture was taken right outside at the neighborhood play ground.

Grandpa gave Tyler this rocking horse a few years ago. We had it in storage for a little while. We stumbled upon it, pulled it out and Tyler had a great time riding it!

Playground fun! :)

Such a sweet boy :)

Easter Weekend with Aunt Jaime and Grammy...

Aunt Jaime and Grammy joined us this year for Easter weekend! We had a great time. Tyler really enjoyed doing an Easter Egg hunt this year. He got really into it and had a full basket of eggs by the time it was over!

Jake had a great time watching. He loves being outside and being held :)

In Tyler's easter basket this year, the easter bunny left him a new Nalgene water bottle, a Pez dispenser, candy, a book and a new animal "friend," which he has affectionately named "Hop."

Tyler loves eating ice cream with Aunt Jaime. Jake was very interested in Aunt Jaime's ice cream and eyed it the entire time!

Tyler was so excited to have Aunt Jaime stay with us for the weekend!

On the last night that they were with us, we went to a place called, The Little Dipper. It is very similar to The Melting Pot.

Jake got tired and eventually fell asleep.

Tyler liked cooking his own food!

When it comes to sleep, Jake doesn't joke around. When he is tired, you know it. He gives you many signs. He is usually happy, so your first sign that he is tired is when nothing you do seems to please him anymore. The second sign he gives you is that he rubs his eyes when he is sleepy. When he is tired, he doesn't mind laying down and taking a nap, no matter where it is!

Cuddles with Aunt Jaime...

Jake must be the easiest baby ever when it comes time to putting him to sleep. I don't want to jinx myself in the future, but seriously. Once he has had a bath and is ready for his bottle, he drinks his bottle. He usually puts his hand up by his head (as if he is trying to show you his total exhaustion). Once he is done with his bottle, he wants to be laid down in his crib and given his paci. He usually is able to fall asleep on his own that way.

Cutie!

For Easter, I made cupcakes for Tyler's class party. I was pretty proud of myself with these. It was my first time making mini cupcakes. Luckily, we had enough left over that we got to eat them at home too! I love doing things like that for his school!
