Its a Zoo...

Sometimes, I find scenes like this in our household...

And I love it :)

Haircut and Wheels...

Tyler had his first "official" haircut on Saturday. We have cut his hair a few times at home but decided to take him somewhere to make it "official."  We took him to a place called "Peek-A-Do" which is a children's salon. I was sold on this place the second I learned that they allowed their clients to schedule appointments. Sold! Some other places around here are walk-in appointments only and with a toddler, well, that just doesn't sound appealing to me!

Here he is...getting ready to go into the salon!

Its haircut time!

Tyler spent most of his haircut appointment with this face on. We tried distracting with the tv, goldfish, a drink and even Elmo on the cell phone with no success. When he realized he wasn't getting out of the "car" until his hair was cut, he simmered down.

As soon as his cape came off, Tyler was ready to get out of the car, and the hair salon! See, here he is...you can't get much clearer body language than this!

"Daddy, Daddy. Take me away from this place!"

After the haircut, we took a quick stop at William's Sonoma. Tyler loves to find little "seats"...he finds them anywhere he goes. He manages to sit on the shower ledge, on cases of water in grocery stores, on the dogs...and right here!

After a stop at the mall, we went to a Truck Parade, held by Tyler's day-care organization. Tyler is all about trucks and cars (hmmmm, I wonder where he got that from). We thought he would love it, but apparently the haircut really drained him and we didn't stay long!

No Age Limit for Cornhole...

We decided to take Tyler to Fullsteam Brewery over the weekend. We had been there one time before and remembered it to be an open space with picnic tables ie: good setting for toddler to make loud noises with low risk of getting stares from others. We packed up some chicken nuggets and a sippy cup...and headed out so that mommy and daddy could get a beer and meet up with a friend!

I told Tyler he was underage, but he still tried to sneak a taste:

Just when we thought we were going to have to pack up and go home, Tyler found the cornhole table! This bought us an extra 30 minutes at the brewery, and for that, we were grateful!
