I was working on making dinner and asked Tyler to go play in his playroom. A few minutes later, I found this...and really, the only reason this toilet paper trail did not continue is because he got to the end of the roll.
I know, he looks sick in this picture, but that was not the case. He said, "I'm sleepy. I'm sleeping." He laid the wash cloth over him and pretended it was his "blankie" and then closed his eyes to pretend to go to sleep.
Tyler loves talking on the phone. This time, I overheard the following when he told me he was calling "Aunt Jaime." Here it goes: "Hello. Hello? Are you there? I don't want bubbles. Alright, bye."
Tyler loves reading stories before bed. I haven't gotten a picture of it yet, but his new favorite thing to do is to hold the book up by his shoulder (like his teacher must do at school during story time) and read to us. He is also finally sleeping with blankets on. For a while, he didnt want any blankets touching his feet. We have been slowly introducing blankets to him, knowing that we are approaching fall/winter. For a while, I was saying to Tyler, "Put your head on your pillow and I'll put your blankets on. Are you comfortable?" Now, if I forget to ask him, he will say, "Ask me if I'm comfortable, mommy!"
He's also been a big fan of play dough lately (thanks, Aunt Jaime!) Our biggest challenge at this point is teaching him that he should not eat the play dough. He also usually has a blob attached to his clothes by the time he is done playing with it.
I had to add this one in here just because. Tyler was outside "helping" Matt seed the grass. Tyler was dropping a bunch of seed in one pile and Matt was following behind him, trying to spread it out. I looked at the window a couple of minutes later and saw Matt and Tyler, sitting on a hill in the front yard, watching the cars go by.
