Grammy Daycare and a Visit from Grandpa...

Grammy Daycare was in full effect at our house for the week. Tyler's daycare was closed for one week in July and my mom jumped at the opportunity to spend the week with T-man. We really appreciate her helping all week. We didn't want her to leave! I do believe that Grammy and Tyler had a good time reading books, playing peak-a-boo/patty cake and snuggling. We also hopped on the baby food making train and stocked up on sweet potatoes, butternut squash and peaches. My dad joined in over the weekend and a good time was had by all. Luckily, I captured most of it on camera.

Oh wait, who am I kidding? My parents spent time with Tyler and we barely laid eyes on them or him...but that is exactly how I would want it to be. I mean, isn't that what grandparents do?! Tyler is one lucky and loved boy!

Big Boy Chair...

We decided Tyler was big enough to be sitting at the table with us. We got him a Fisher Price Space Saver Highchair. We found it on craigs list - score! It was in perfect condition and we were able to wash the cover easily in the washing machine. Tyler liked it but since he isn't interested in eating yet, he got bored quickly.

We think Tyler may be in the beginning stages of teething. We haven't seen any actual evidence yet, however he has been drooling, trying to chew everything in sight (including his bottle and pacifier), sleepy and fussy when none of the previously listed activities work.

When he can't get a toy to stay in his mouth, he lets out a squeel, grabs his hands and does this:

Tyler helped me celebrate my 30th birthday on July 10th. We had Matt's family over for dinner. Tyler toasted with a bottle and danced around in his jumperoo. He even grabbed a napkin at the table and watched as I blew out the candles.

The Story of Rice Cereal...

It goes a little something like this:

"Hmmm, try something new, you say?"


"Why, yes, please!"


"I'm not sure."

"Dear God, Why does it taste like that?"


"Stop!"

Now that, my friends, is an unhappy camper. Poor guy. We'll try again in a couple of days, buddy!

Four Month Onesie Photoshoot!

We had a very brief four month photo shoot. Tyler went through two onesies during this one minute photo shoot due to spit up :) After the second onesie was done, I was too.

Good Morning, Monkey!

I love wake up time. I tried to capture it this morning. First, please note how I found him in his crib this morning. I laughed outloud. It is almost as if he is trying to save room in his crib for some friends or something. Buddy, move over! You've got plenty of room! No need to cram!
